Ciao Rome

I rediscovered my flair for Italian cuisine in the last two weeks. I started out with Fusilli arabiatta and Creamy Cheesy Pasta. Credit goes to John Grisham’s description of Italian food in ‘Playing for Pizza’. I admire the way Enid Blyton describes food in her books that I used to pester my mom for lemonade while reading Famous Five in my teens. :-)

Here is the recipe for creamy cheesy pasta:

For Preparing Whitesauce:

  1. Mix 1 cup of Milk and 2 spoons Corn Flour.

  2. Heat Butter

  3. Add the milk and corn flour mix to butter. Keep stirring on medium flame until the sauce of the required consistency. (thin sauce is required for this recipe)

For the Pasta:

  1. Boil Pasta with required salt

  2. Boil Vegetables with required amount of salt(Carrot, Beans..)

  3. Heat olive oil.

  4. Add the boiled vegetables

  5. When the vegetables are fried, add prepared white sauce

  6. Add boiled pasta

  7. When the pasta and the vegetables blend with white sauce, add mixed herbs

  8. Serve pasta with grated mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

Variation: After cooking, pasta can also be baked in a oven.

P.S: The title of this post, Ciao Rome analogous to the Hello World program we write when we learn a new language. I’m sure my husband would want a vanakkam tamilagam in my blog soon ;-)
